Here’s a different version of Away in a Manger for you: it’s loosely based on a version by Johnny Mathis, but is set out as a Bb Cornet solo and is quite different to your usual version of this this lovely carol. There are some lovely harmonies in there, and a wonderful solo line over the top of the melody by the soloist. The bass section will love the featured descending bass line! It’s a great new addition to your Christmas concert programme.
