Saxophone Quintet Saxophone (2 Eb Alto Saxophones, 2 Bb Tenor Saxophones, Eb Baritone Saxophone) - Level 5

SKU: BZ.ENMS-84339

Composed by Shinji Kusakabe. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 5:40. Bravo Music #ENMS-84339. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84339).

The title refers to a clown comedy popular in ancient Rome. This piece was written to be reminiscent of the bubble economy. When I watched videos of the time (the cityscape, the thick eyebrows, the fancy car, etc.), I felt nostalgic about the fashion and taste of satire. However, I cannot help feeling envious of the active "instinctual strength" to seize the "moment" so seriously. In other words, I wanted to make the theme of feeling the present (moment) by "emotions and sensations" rather than theory, based on the sound of just a little while ago. (Susumu Kusakabe).
