Here is a more unusual piece for you - Joseph Martin Kraus was a Swedish-German composer, contemporary to Mozart. His Ballet "Fiskarena" (The Fishermen), premiered in 1789 at Kungliga Operan, Stockholm. There are a couple of recordings available, and it contains beautiful music, but it's hardly ever performed, which is a real shame.
This movement, No. 10: "Anglais" (or Angloise) sounds very much like a Hornpipe, so, if you are looking for an alternative Hornpipe for your dancing set, or just would like to add another classical piece to your quartet pads, this would be a nice addition.
This arrangement started off as a commission for a 1750s Costume ball: there wasn't a score of the ballet available anywhere, so this is arranged from one of the available orchestral recordings, and the accompaniment is deliberately kept simple so that it can easily be repeated again and again, if played for dancing.
