By David Brooks And Marion Bell. By Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. Arranged by Carol Troini Jacobe. Standards. 30 pages. Carol Troini Jacobe #935898. Published by Carol Troini Jacobe (A0.1351066).

Medium level SATB vocal jazz treatment of Lerner and Loewe’s “Almost Like Being In

Love” from the musical Brigadoon. The arrangement features a Bossa Nova to Swing

feel and includes a flute part. Piano part is written out and playable by most high school

pianists. The arrangement includes a full score, vocal score, piano, bass, drums, and

flute parts.

A “Shout Section” with written out scat syllables is included and is a great way to

introduce your students to the use of scatting in a tune. This section is done by the full

ensemble but a student could create their own scat solo.
