Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Jewish,Sacred. 2 pages. David Warin Solomons #2026821. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575667).

This is the original version of my setting of Adon Olam, based on the traditional melody for the old Jewish prayer by that name. The vocal part can be sung by an alto or a baritone. The sound sample here is part of a live performance by David W Solomons (alto and guitar) (with an alto recorder - but for the purposes of this particular score ignore the recorder part). As a sound sample, it only goes as far as the second stanza, but the score contains all the stanzas. Other versions of this tune in various vocal and instrumental arrangements are available on this site: low voice, alto recorder and guitar flute, cello and guitar flute, viola and guitar flute, clarinet and guitar piccolo, oboe and guitar.
