"A Whole New World" was originally written for the Disney animated film Aladdin in 1992. Composed by Alan Menken with lyrics by Tim Rice, the song ended up reaching number 1 on the Billboard charts and won an Academy Award and a Grammy. Now a universally beloved classic, this song is requested often for weddings and events and is a must-have for your gig books! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this Cellobat chart for your string quartet is a beautiful string rendition of this popular song, with soaring vocal lines, beautiful harmonies and countermelodies, and a fun intro that duplicates the lead-in music of the original movie version.
