“A Well-Worn Story”, from Enough Rope – A Simple (Dorothy Parker) Song Cycle is inspired by her book of poems, Enough Rope (1926), which is based upon the theory: "Give someone enough rope, and they will hang themselves." Five of the poems make up this simple song cycle for a trio (soprano, alto and bass) of performers a cappella: A perfect introduction to the wit and brilliance of Ms Parker for high schoolers and entry level classical training musicians.
