A Fanfare of Bells is festival music composed for a particular occasion: in 2012 the young 3BA Brass Band from Germany took part in the champion section of the Flemish Open Brass Band Championship in Mechelen, Belgium, for the first time: a festival of premieres. A Fanfare of Bells, accordingly, is music that creates festival atmosphere. Big melodies designed to touch the heart are cut through with brilliant fanfares. The piece contains lyrical and melodic passages that bring the skills and general musicianship of the 3BA Brass Band to the fore, along with various technical passages that spotlight the excellence of the individual musicians. Peels of bells at thestart and end of the work ring in a new atmosphere for brass band music in Germany and Austria. A Fanfare of Bells is, however, also a tribute to the wonderful sound of brass instruments, that blend together to create the most subtle sonorities: bells as a symbol of the beauty of the instruments—both sonically and visually: let the bells ring...

A Fanfare of Bells is festivalmuziek die is gecomponeerd voor een speciale gelegenheid: in 2012 nam de jonge 3BA Brass Band uit Duitsland voor het eerst deel aan de kampioensdivisie van het Vlaams Open Brassband Kampioenschap in het Belgische Mechelen: een festival van premières. A Fanfare of Bells bevat dan ook muziek in festivalsfeer. Briljante fanfares schitteren naast meeslepende, hartveroverende melodieën. Het werk bevat zowel lyrische als melodieuze passages waarin de speelvaardigheid en muzikaliteit van de 3BA Brass Band goed tot hun recht komen, maar ook verschillende technisch lastige fragmenten waarmee individuele muzikanten hun talent voor hetvoetlicht kunnen brengen. Het geluid van klokken aan het begin en het eind van het werk symboliseert een nieuwe atmosfeer voor de brassbandmuziek in Duitsland en Oostenrijk.A Fanfare of Bells is echter ook een eerbetoon aan het prachtige geluid van koperinstrumenten, ineensmeltend in de meest subtiele samenklanken. A Fanfare of Bells ist Festival-Musik, die für einen besonderen Anlass komponiert wurde: 2012 nahm die junge Brass Band 3BA aus Deutschland zum ersten Mal in der Champion-Section in Mechelen (BE) an den renommierten Flemish Open für Brass Bands teil - ein Premieren-Fest. Diesem Anlass entsprechend ist A Fanfare of Bells Musik mit Eröffnungs- und Festcharakter. Fanfaren erstrahlen neben großen Melodien, die das Herz berühren sollen. Für die Stärken und die große Musikalität der jungen Brass Band 3BA hält dieses Stück ebenso lyrische und melodiöse Abschnitte wie auch einige technische Passagen bereit, um der Brillanz der hervorragenden Musiker gerecht zu werden.Glockengeläut am Beginn und am Ende des Werkes soll eine neue Atmosphäre für Brass-Band-Musik in Deutschland und Österreich symbolisieren. A Fanfare of Bells (Une fanfare de cloches) est une musique festive composée pour une occasion bien particulière : en 2012, pour la première fois, les jeunes Allemands du 3BA Brass Band participèrent au Championnat du Brass Band flamand Malines, en Belgique, dans la division la plus haute, la section A. Ce championnat soutient vivement la composition et l’exécution de nouvelles pièces. Mêlant de brillantes fanfares et des mélodies exaltantes, A Fanfare of Bells traduit bien l’ambiance d’un festival. La pièce contient des passages lyriques et mélodiques qui mettent en valeur les compétences et la maîtrise du 3BA Brass Band, ainsi que divers passages techniques quiattestent de la virtuosité de certains musiciens. Des carillons de cloches au début et la fin de l’oeuvre annoncent un renouveau dans la musique pour brass band en Allemagne et en Autriche.A Fanfare of Bells est également un hommage aux splendides sonorités des cuivres qui se panachent pour créer les sons les plus subtils, mais aussi leur éclatante beauté visuelle.
