The clarinet part was written to be performable on Soprano Saxophone without alteration.
A quick note about the tempo. This piece doesn’t work if it goes noticeably slower than the indicated quarter = 126. Ensembles are encouraged to be as faithful to that tempo as possible. There must be a sense of urgency and rushing for the entire five minutes of this piece. Ideally you should be performing it just a bit faster than you’re comfortable with.
