The Prince of Peace
“For He is our peace . . .” (Ephesians 2:14)
Unto us a Child was born, the royal Son of God.
He would live as Prince of Peace, sent from a heav’n beyond.
He would be our Savior, Christ, loving us each day.
Following his ev’ry step is his righteous way.
Unto us a Son was given, our Father’s first-born Child.
He would grow to save the world, redeeming without guile.
He would be our Rescuer, reconciling wrongs.
Saving mankind was his call so all could belong.
Unto us a King was placed within a manger stall.
He will be our Governor and bring true peace to all.
Evil will be nullified as He reigns on earth,
For He is the Chosen One proving each soul’s worth.
Unto us God’s Child was born, the perfect Prince of Peace.
As we follow his sure steps, our grateful words increase.
On this Christmas day we sing songs because He lives,
Showing love for Jesus Christ, and the peace He gives.
