Published by Peter Burton Music (A0.1336382).Written during lockdown, this piece is a tribute to the birds of the sea-cliffs. As a family we would often visit these sea colonies on walks in the North West of Scotland. However, the lockdown deprived us of that joy. However, we know at some point we would return. Originally written for TTB solo and keyboard, it is a real family collaborative effort. The words and music are by me ( Peter Burton ) with voices Peter Burton, Duncan Haslam and Patrick Haslam ( my two nephews ). In the video, the paintings were done by my mum ( Morag Burton ! ).
Although original written for three male voices, it could easily be sung by three female voices or three-part choir, particularly children's choir.
