Composed by Andrea Catozzi. Arranged by Joey Rosati. Woodwinds - Clarinet. Alry Publications #CBCP13. Published by Alry Publications (AY.CBCP13).ISBN 9790302121558.
Andrea Catozzi originally composed Beelzebub as a virtuosic solo piece for Tuba, specifically for the 1886 competition of solo instrumental music held by Carl Fischer Music. It was selected as the winner and since then has become a standard work in the tuba repertoire. Orlando-based clarinetist and arranger Joey Rosati has arranged this work in such a way that the solo part can be played by either a (B-flat) contrabass or (E-flat) contralto clarinet and piano. Additionally, two parts are provided for the contrabass clarinet, one for a standard range instrument, and one for an extended range instrument. This work can be played with either a contrabass or contralto clarinet.
