The first verse features a steady bell-like accompaniment played by the right hand while the left hand plays the melody. For the second verse, the melody is played by the right hand with more movement and a fuller sound.
The bell-like introductory theme is reminiscent of the tune associated with the Big Ben clock tower. The famous church bell tune is known as "Westminster Quarters" or "Cambridge Quarters."
