Composed by American Folk Melody. Arranged by Cheryl (Sutton) Woldseth - Bronze:FX. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious. Score. 4 pages. Bronze:FX #896344. Published by Bronze:FX (A0.1307092).

Young ringers, beginning choirs, and audiences alike will enjoy this arrangement of the timeless American folk melody “Lord, I Want to Be a Christian.” Using ringing without special effects, this arrangement conveys peace and confidence. The melody breaks out with individual affirmations of the title’s plea, and for a moment starts a musical conversation by layering the melody in three octaves a few beats apart.

The arrangement is for 9-10 ringers using 3-4 octaves of handbells. Complete assignments are enclosed, and the piece is Level 2 when played with ten ringers.

Performance time:  2 minutes.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
