“Miles Lane” is a favorite hymn tune, and this arrangement is perfect for young ringers and beginning choirs. Use it as a fanfare before the congregation sings the lyrics “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” without the repeat, or utilize the repeat to perform it as a stand-alone piece. The ringers will enjoy the handbell effects of ring, swing (also called tower swing), LV (let vibrate), SK (shake), and various dynamics.
The arrangement is for eight or nine ringers using three octaves of handbells. Complete assignments are enclosed, and the piece is Level 2 when played with nine ringers.
