Although the highest chart position this lush disco anthem reached in the whole world was no. 4 in Ireland, Fantasy remains an all-time classic of its genre. The Italian group Black Box covered Fantasy in 1990 on their debut album Dreamland. This arrangement for string quartet is a relatively straight-forward idiomatic transcription in the same tonalities as the original recording, so you could even play along with it for fun. NB: There are no bar numbers because repeats are in different places in different parts. There are rehearsal marks for navigation and no page turns. The level is on the easier side of “advanced”; quickly rehearsed by professional quartets and an accessible challenge for experienced students.
