Scored for four Bb Clarinets but for better effect the lowest part can be played by Bass Clarinet. Whilst the piece is marked easy, the first part may present a challenge to inexperienced players. The other parts are easy.

It has been described as a quirky country-dance style piece.  It was used in a scene in the 1962 film “The Music Man”.
