Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Chris Webster. Folk. Score and parts. 14 pages. Chris Webster #756420. Published by Chris Webster (A0.1156104).

This popular folk ballad is featured in the score for the 1967 version of Far From the Madding Crowd representing Sgt. Troy. This arrangement is for guitar solo with folk combo. The instrumentation can be treated flexibly, particularly the percussion parts. For example, a flute could take the piccolo part, and an electronic keyboard could replace the concertina/accordion part, etc. The important thing is to showcase the solo guitar - think of it as a sort of Concierto de Aranjuez for beginners!

A -1 MP3 is available here for practice - or even performance!
