Dancescriptions combines many styles derived from pop music with techniques from classical composition. The styles are not the focal point; the true musical definition comes from the interpretation of the transition passages. After the statement of a rhythmic and melodic cell the music is developed from the thematic material in the appropriate style - soul music, disco, merengue, ballad and rock - in the Big Band tradition. The different rhythms and genres are interwoven and combined to create a natural flow in this musical puzzle.

In Dancescriptions stehen verschiedene Instrumentengruppen abwechselnd mit Soli im Rampenlicht. Aus diesen Wechseln ergeben sich viele Möglichkeiten, Direktion und Beleuchtung auf der Bühne zu gestalten. Dank der besonderen Kombination verschiedener Stile und Kompositionstechniken eignet sich dieses Werk sowohl für Konzerte und Wettbewerbe als auch für Unterhaltungsmusik-Programme.
