Frank is a well known Australian convict who happened to be a brilliant poet. The first piece is the well known folk song, Moreton Bay, which he also composed. The second piece is based on a poem about a daring escape from Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) aboard a stolen ship. This poem was well known in its day, though the original tune is lost in history. The third piece is based on a poem Frank wrote picking on the judicial system. This is a preview score for strring quartet.
