THE COVENTRY CAROL is an English Christmas carol from the 16th century that was traditionally performed in Coventry, England. It has a simple tune in a minor key ending with a "Picardy Third" which results in the final chord of the piece being the relative major chord. It is arranged for EASY INTERMEDIATE VIOLIN with a PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT. It provides a lovely carol for Christmas programs and worship services as well as an opportunity to discuss major and minor chords. A separate solo sheet for the violin is also provided.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
