Composed by Daniel E. Kelley and Dr. Brewster M. Higley. Arranged by Kyle Gray Young. Children,Country,Folk,Standards,Traditional. Score. 2 pages. Kyle Gray Young #705219. Published by Kyle Gray Young (A0.1101830).

Here’s a nice and simple arrangement of this classic American cowboy tune. The lyrics were written in 1872 by Dr. Brewster M. Higley. His friend, Daniel E. Kelley, wrote the melody on his guitar. It became the state song of Kansas in 1947. This arrangement is perfect for an elementary class or a beginner choir to perform. There is one vocal part, one piano part, and chord names for guitar or other instruments to accompany with. It’s presented in the key of F. There are two pages in the score. The duration is roughly one and a half minutes.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
