This arrangement should begin softly following the dynamics until bar 35 where the volume “hots up” and builds to a huge finish. The trombones have plenty of chances to work on togetherness, balance, blend and intonation. The brass section's first entry at bar 9 should be swung. The soloist may play an adlib cadenza at bar 55 or play the written notes, ad lib. Everything is to be played legato unless marked otherwise. If your band doesn't have a vocalist there are solo sheets supplied for Tenor Sax or Trombone. This arrangement works very well as an instrumental as well as a vocal.
