Handel (1685—1759), with the response in faith to the resurrection. As such, it is a most suitable work for inclusion at Easter and in a celebration of life at funeral and memorial services. For reference and perhaps as a Bass solo, this version includes the complete text, and the arrangement is conceived as a solo line with the extrapolated trumpet line and accompaniment. For ease of execution, this version is in C major instead of the original key of D major, and the motifs with the running parallel thirds and sixths can be simplified by playing only one part.
