Composed by Hikaru Utada. Arranged by Nishant Amatya. Contemporary,Video Game. 76 pages. Nishant Amatya #647052. Published by Nishant Amatya (A0.1042245).

One of the most well-known singer-songwriters in Japan, Hikaru Utada wrote Hikari as part of a collaboration with Square Enix in the early 2000s in creating and promoting the video game Kingdom Hearts. Since then, this piece has become a video game classic, and representative of the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise. Kingdom Hearts series composer, Yoko Shimomura, took Utada's original pop-folk tune and completely revamped it for an orchestra. This arrangement is largely based on Shimomura's orchestral version, and attempts to faithfully score it for a wind ensemble and capture the power of the original. Intended for advanced ensembles, some parts have been doubled and the harp made optional as to allow for some flexibility with instrumentation.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
