This arrangement for full big band can be considered a Samba or Bossa Nova. The song is known by many names, "Black Orpheus;" or "Theme from Black Orpheus;" "Manha de Carnaval;" and popular in the USA, "A Day in the Life of a Fool" and lastly, "Theme from the movie "Orfeu Negro." My arrangement explores the re-harmonization of the standard chord changes. It features the sax section; a guitar solo; trumpet 2 muted solo; tenor sax 1 solo and trombone 1 solo.
