Scarborough Faire is a traditional ballad of either English or Scottish origin. It tells the tale of a knight who is beset with a list of impossible tasks in order to regain the affections of his true love. This arrangement is for Early to Intermediate Beginners. It is for Low Voice in A dorian mode (meaning A is the home note, and there is one sharp in the key signature) and has no lever changes. The harp range is A below bass C to treble C. It can be played on a 26 string harp if the hands play one octave higher than written. Chord symbols and fingerings with brackets are included, along with four printed verses for singing. The vocal range spans one octave: A below middle C to A above middle C. The Youtube sample is in the High Key of Dm. Use the mp3 to hear this key of Am.
