SKU: A0.947804

Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Ted Allen. Jazz. Score and parts. 85 pages. Western Meadowlark Song #6675925. Published by Western Meadowlark Song (A0.947804).

This is a contemporary Latin jazz arrangement of the traditional hymn "Amazing Grace."
Difficulty is Grade 4, Medium Advanced.
The arrangement uses the Afro-Cuban 6/8 Bembé rhythm and features exciting layered 6/8 vs. 3/4 polyrhythms.
The trumpets go up to high D, but that D only occurs twice in an octave unison passage. Trumpet 1 and 2 may play down an octave there if necessary.
Trombone 1 goes to three ledger line G.
In addition to the standard 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, guitar, piano, bass and drums I have provided optional parts for flute and vibraphone.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
