This collection of pieces is a rarity, featuring works by representatives of the second generation of composers of Bulgarian professional music, Lyubomir Pipkov (1904-1974), Parashkev Hadjiev (1912-1992), and Pancho Vladigerov (1899-1978). This generation of composers was educated in Europe, and its members laid the principles of development for Bulgarian musicians for years to come. All three of these composers were adept pianists, and all three produced a great deal of piano music. Milan-based pianist Victoria Terekiev made her first recording at age 11. Since then she has performed at prestigious institutions all over the globe, and she currently teaches piano and chamber music at Milano Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado.
