We Wish You a Merry Christmas is a popular sixteenth-century carol from the West Country of England. The origin of this carol lies in the English tradition in which wealthy people of the community gave Christmas treats to the singers on Christmas Eve, such as figgy puddings. This string quartet version becomes rather snowbound as the song progresses (a video of this effect can be seen on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXedy2bPiDg ) The pdf file contains score and parts. The soundsample is an electronic preview.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
