Trombone Hymns and Fanfares

Trombone Hymns and Fanfares composed by Douglas Smith. Brass solo. For trombone. Sacred. Published by Lorenz Publishing Company (LO.PP360).

This exciting and practical collections of 38 favorite hymn tunes is designed to enhance congregational singing by adding instrumental parts to the organ and/or piano accompaniment. Carefully written with the peculiar problems of the church trombonist in mind, these wonderful settings provide a wealth of material for churches of all denominations. A special feature of this selection is its possible combination with "Trumpet Hymns and Fanfares," also by Douglas Smith. If resources allow, these selections may be expanded for performance by brass sextet.

  • May 15, 2008 Great resource for church orchestras!

These fanfares and interludes are a great way to add interest and a sense of the "majestic" to your instrumental ensemble's worship service playing. Another terrific instrumental resource for church musicians by Dr. Doug Smith!
