A fantastic feature for the advanced saxophonist. Utilizing three member of the saxophone family in three contrasting movements, "Towers of Power" spotlights the versatility of the instruments as well as the performer.

Commissioned by Timothy McCallister and The University of Arizona Wind Ensemble, Gregg Hanson, conductor. The three movements are written for solo soprano, alto, and tenor saxophone, respectively. Each movement is titled after a tune from the funk-horn band, Tower of Power; hence, the title of the work.
