SKU: LR.40050

Composed by Daniel Kelley. Arranged by Daniel Kelley. Contemporary Solo Series. Incredible New Works that exemplify the gorgeous and virtuosic qualities of the oboe. Recital. Piano score and solo part. Last Resort Music Publishers #40050. Published by Last Resort Music Publishers (LR.40050).

A Splash of Fire is a brisk, energetic romp for both oboist and pianist. A touch under four minutes in length, it is ideal for either beginning or ending a concert with dexterous flair. Resolving the Conundrum is a meditation on questions that don't have answers, and, perhaps, answers that have never had questions. The oboe weaves melodic lines over and through the piano's undercurrents and subtly enunciated statements. Depending on how efficiently the performer wishes to address these conundrums, the piece is between ten and twelve minutes in length. Appia Margutta is a lyrical opus, composed originally for Margaret Gilinsky. Rich and delectably tonal, it is approximately nine minutes in length.
