This is super awesome and will be remembered for years. Consider printing the stunning words in the program so everyone can partake of the spiritual strength of this work. Needs a confident organist.

  • January 04, 2010 No wimpy church song here. . .

This piece has bravado, dash and enough fighting spirit to please even your most reticent teen males. With a strong men's section, and some sopranos that can go to a high A, this piece is unforgettable. It helps to have a very competent organist--mine is keying everything into...

an MP3 file so there are no last minute jitters. It sounds more difficult than it actually is--the entire thing is sung in unison except about a page and a half! But some of the counting is a little tricky for the conductor and organist--but with a little extra care, it is well worth the extra few minutes of effort. I conducted this about ten years ago and it is a WINNER. Very inspiring and memorable.
