  • May 10, 2013 Excellent!!

This is an excellent piece. The four parts are all different, but intertwine in a very delightful way. The Primo's are late intermediate level, and the Secondo's are definitely advanced with difficult eighth note passages and a majority of the notes on leger lines. Highly recommend this piece...

, but be prepared for extra practice for the Secondo parts.

Very very pleased with this. We haven't yet got together to play it as we haven't had it long, but I am practising my part (piano 2 primo) and I think it is going to be a great piece to tackle. (The other three players think the same...

  • May 28, 2008 Fun for Four Players

Wilberg's arrangement is fun to play and makes an exciting performance. There are some spots that are not very pianistic (impossible held notes), but there's a nice interchange between the two pianos. And everyone recognizes the piccolo parts!

Great arrangement of this well-known piece. Our piano quartet recently played this as the opening piece for our concert and the audience loved it. It starts with a blast and doesn't ever really slow down - very impressive piece - and a total kick to play - !!

  • May 31, 2006 Fabulous Arranger!

With Mack Wilberg as the arranger, I thought it would be fabulous, and it is! Using the full keyboard, from lowest A to highest C, every pianist plays something different, with two players occasionally joining in a melody. The high/low notes on the staff are challenging if you're...

not used to reading tall staff lines (some players penciled in note names) but it's not complicated to learn. Seven minutes long, it was the hit of the night at our community talent festival. Very fun to play. Very enjoyable to hear.
