Simple humorous song based on a satirical English poem by William Makepeace Thackeray (who is summarising the plot of Goethe's youthful tragedy with great irony "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers" (The sorrows of young Werther)) The song is written out just for voice and guitar chord names and versions are provided for voices of various types, in the keys of: C, D, F, G and B-flat The audio sample (in the key of C) is performed by the composer I have also translated the poem into German and French for those who would like to use those languages instead, under the titles: Die Leiden des jungen Werthers (German translation of the English poem) and Les douleurs du jeune Werther (French translation of the English poem).
