44 Pieces for Recorder Consort. Composed by Various. Arranged by Steve Rosenberg. Schott. Playing score. 44 pages. Schott Music #ED11380. Published by Schott Music (HL.49002780).

Item Number: HL.49002780

The recorder is fortunate in having one of the richest and most varied repertoires of any instrument, ranging over the medieval, renaissance, baroque and contemporary periods. From this wealth of available material Steve Rosenberg has chosen a collection of pieces which will introduce the beginner to the world of genuine recorder music from the start. Even with limited technique he or she will be able to take part in group music making from the earliest stages.

  • September 04, 2012 A very useful book

This is a very useful book. It's mostly renaissance - era music for 1,2,3,4 or 5 recorders in various combinations. When I first started playing recorder, I used it by myself to practice various parts. My intermediate group (SAT players) liked it enough that they all bought...

it and we have enjoyed playing from it. It's somewhat easier music than Mr. Rosenberg's The Recorder Consort series, which is similar in makeup and also very good.
