The Music Man first came to Broadway in 1957 and ran for a total of 1,375 performances. It won the Tony for Best Musical and was turned into a popular film in 1962. The musical tells the story of Harold Hill, a con man who dupes a small Iowa town but later falls in love with a librarian who sees through his scheme. With book and music by Meredith Wilson, the show features many great songs, most notably Til There Was You, which has become a pop standard. Sing this and sixteen other great songs! Each one is presented with note-perfect backing tracks and removable guide vocals.
Each Pocket Songs PSCD album contains a complete performance with a professional vocalist as well as the karaoke tracks of each song, for the at-home performer. PSCD discs can be played on a regular CD player and do not contain graphics.
