  • November 04, 2007 Hauntingly beautiful

I am not a performer, but I have heard this piece performed twice...once with the composer and a local flautist in concert at my church, and again, with very gifted and well-prepared local musicians during a communion service at my church. It is a gorgeous composition; it brought...

me to tears both times I heard it. My heart soared as I listened! Referring to the previous reviewers comments, I will readily admit that what I heard was beautifully interpreted. Like any good piece of music, this one would certainly lose its punch if the performer failed to observe the innuendos written into the piece. Played well, the music will bring your listeners to the footsteps of heaven.

  • June 02, 2007 A joy to perform

A joy to practice and perform. The piece has a lot of variety within it and takes a skilled pianist to perform effectively. It begins in a quiet way, building to a great climax. Nice chord progession, modulations, etc. To make it sound good, performers must take care to be...

musical in every way possible: phrasing, dynamics, tempo, etc.
