The first nine pieces contained in this set each focus on one characteristic of the nine different fruits listed in the scripture found in Galations. In culmination to this set the final tenth piece combines thoughts presented from each of the other pieces to show how the fruit of the spirit can be seen as a whole entity made from each of the nine fruits described in the scripture. The pieces offer emotional content while encouraging the intermediate pianist to stretch his or her abilities for handling modulation and meter changes.
