Composed by Deborah Swanger Fortier. Arranged by Deborah Swanger Fortier. Children. Score. 1 pages. Deborah Swanger Fortier #28001. Published by Deborah Swanger Fortier (A0.938603).

Hilaire Belloc's beautiful poem, The Early Morning, is set to very simple music in middle c position. Fortier calls this the "Left Hand-Right Hand Song because its a perfect piece for beginning pianists ( "the moon on my left and the dawn on my right",) to help distinguish the left from right and bass from treble. It is one of 24 poems written for children by famous authors that Fortier has set to music for beginning pianists with the goal in mind to have student, teacher and parents all have an aesthetically rewarding experience from the very start of piano lessons.
