  • April 21, 2010 Not accurate

While I do like most of the songs selected for this book, I would have swapped a couple of songs out. Anyway, several of the tabs contain inaccuracies, some blatantly obvious. One major blunder is the tab for Ghost of Perdition in which all guitars are in D minor tuning...

yet the book has some guitars in standard tuning and some in D minor...just wrong, wrong, wrong. Other errors can be found in Bleak, The Grand Conjuration, Windowpane and Godhead's Lament and there are probably more. However, this book does provide enough that you can fill in the pieces to get the right tab. If you buy this book and couple it with online tab and videos of Opeth playing these songs, you can bring it all together. So in that sense I would recommend getting this book but don't rely on it 100%

  • January 07, 2008 Finally Opeth has a Songbook of their own!!!

I was extremely excited to find this songbook was available. When it arrived I spent several days working through the songs. Each song is extremely accurate and I cant recommend this enough to Opeth fans and metal fans alike. It is also a great collection of songs from their career...

with only one album not represented.
