Published by Wayne Howard Christensen III (A0.987124).I am dedicating this song to Karen Stockton. She was my piano teacher in Houston Texas from 1982 to 1984. She passed away in 2009. She was an outstanding concert pianist, but I remember her as simply a wonderful person who had a great gift for teaching and made every student feel special no matter their skill level. She had me compose a song in 1984 for a contest, and it reminded her of Strauss Tales from the Vienna Woods. So we called it "Tales of Cypress Woods." Then I entered the USAF Academy, became an officer and a pilot, and regretfully I did not keep in touch or play piano again for 26 years. I wish I could have thanked her for being such a positive role model in my life during my high school years. But I am thankful to have this opportunity to publish this song 30 years later with some revised and added material. In Karen's memory and honor I will donate at least $1 to the Piney Woods Wildlife Society for every song purchased. "Back to School 2015".
