This peaceful song is a combination of the thoughts expressed in Psalm 19:1-4 and Job 37:14: "Stand still and listen to nature's voices, as all creation around us rejoices. A sound may not be heard, for they speak not a word, but their message reaches everyone. . ."
 
Though arranged as a vocal solo with piano accompaniment, this piece is also an excellent choice for a children's unison choir or a solo instrumental piece played by a flute or violin. For the violin, all notes can be played in first position on the D and A strings making this piece suitable for a beginning student.
