Published by Rick Robertson (S0.17087).Soleil du Matin (Morning Sunrise) was completed from older sketches on May 26, 2013 - my late mother's birthday. It was originally the middle section of a longer, weaker work, and I felt that it worked better as a stand-alone piece, in sort of a French Impressionistic style. It has many passages of parallel-chord writing under an expressive melody and builds to a nice little climax before its conclusion.
