Composed by Leonhard Lechner. String Quartets, Quintets etc., Recorder Quartets. Thesaurus Musicus. Choral or Vocal Music. 4 Scores. Published by Magnamusic Distributors Inc (MM.LPMTM14).

Lechner was the most gifted German composer of his generation (a little older than Hassler). PERFORMANCE:The best way to perform this music is with a consort of voices or of matching instruments (viols, violins, cornetts and sackbuts, etc. o recorders can be used, either at 8-foot pitch, or at 4-foot pitch, preferably with the music transposed down a fourth or fifth). If one part is to be sung, it should be the top one: the slower pieces especially will sound very well with one voice and three viols or soft wind instruments, with or without an added lute part.
