Composed by Gordon Jacob. Band Music. Score and parts. Duration 5:10. Published by G & M Brand Music Publishers (CN.R10174).

Dedicated to the officers, staff and students of the Royal Military School of Music, this delightful march by Gordon Jacob is the perfect alternative to the tried & true Sousa marches.

Kneller Hall is a famous mansion, set in beautiful grounds near Twickenham, London which now serves as the training establishment for Directors of Music for the British Army and overseas forces. A feature of the programme is the outdoor summer concerts, attended by distinguished visitors and local residents. Gordon Jacob was so inspired at one such an occasion in 1976 that he wrote this march "to convey to all at Kneller Hall my admiration and gratitude for their encouragement of my music over many years," as he put it shortly afterwards. The manuscript was overlooked until brought to light by a previous Director of Music of Kneller Hall, Lt. Col. Rodney Bashford and was published to celebrate the centenary of the composer's birth.
