In recent years, five CDs with the complete symphonies of Hans Werner Henze have been released - all recorded by the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. The CDs won repeatedly the German Record Critics' Award (Quarterly Critics' Choice) as well as the ECHO Klassik 2010. In addition, Marek Janowski received for his Henze recordings, among others, an honorary prize of the German Record Critics' Award in 2014: “an educator of orchestras by grace, an uncompromising fighter for quality” (jury's reasoning). Now WEGO presents the outstanding recordings in a 5-CD box.
