These Silent Duration pieces are notable for their incorporation of silence as an integral part of the compositional fabric. To date, I’ve written over forty works in this style from solo to large orchestra. Silent Durations XX brings together the diversity of the soprano saxophone, viola and piano. The instruments often melt together into a new sounding color as if all three instruments were played by the same player. The duration is 17'20.
