Published by Robert Delfausse (A0.766949).In this arrangement of Joplin's rag for string orchestra I added some connecting harmonies to give the orchestra a more convincing sound. I also added dynamics in each of the strains, since Joplin put very few dynamics in his original piano rag. As in all of my string orchestra arrangements, there is a piano part. It is optional, but has a very supportive role. The duration of the piece (5 minutes, 3 seconds) can be reduced by eliminating any or all of the repeats. The arrangement is suitable for groups of intermediate level and above. .
